The Scaribis Scramblers Golf Club, a member of the Mid Atlantic Golf Consortium, is a  non-profit organization which comprises of amateur golfers. The club was originally formed in 1992 by a group of  Tobagonians who resided in the Washington DC, Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia areas.

The name Scaribis was coined from a combination of “Scarborough”, the capital of Tobago, and “Scarlet Ibis”, one of the national birds of Trinidad and Tobago.

Today, the club comprises of nationals of  DominicaGrenada, JamaicaSt Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States of America.

The national flags of these countries are presented as a tribute to these members.

 The club strives to continue providing an environment in which individual members can enjoy the game of golf.

 To this end, the club is open to accepting membership from golfers of  all skill levels.

While the club aspires that the skill levels of members will improve because of planned  competitive activities; the ultimate objective is to have these activities foster a spirit of camaraderie among the diverse nationalistic membership.
  
 The organization reserves the right to deny or cancel membership if, in the opinion of the general membership, the conduct of any potential member or member is not in keeping with the standards or policies of the club.
